Two polls are out today with post-New Hampshire results in the upcoming GOP contest for South Carolina, both showing a distinct bounce for John McCain.
Just prior to NH, Insider Advantage and Survey USA gave Huckabee a commanding, double digit lead over McCain. The two polls out today, from Rasmussen and Faux News, reverse that and give McCain a small, but significant, lead over Huckabee with Romney close behind. (Thompson, who we said five weeks ago needed to move his operation to SC, is probably too late--he hasn't really moved in the polls.)
In Michigan, we also have a new poll with McCain taking a small lead, although that poll was taken before NH and conflicts with another poll taken in the same period. (For Michigan poll results, click here.)
That's all good news for McCain--if he can win both Michigan and South Carolina, he'll be in terrific shape to vanquish Rudy G. in Florida and run the table. If he wins neither, it's back to the old grind.
