A Good Night For Tim Kaine

Obama's better-than-expected showing in Iowa is good news for Virginia Governor Tim Kaine.

Kaine was an early supporter of Obama, resisting what must have been pretty intense pressure from the Clintonites to, at a minimum, stay neutral.

And Kaine has put his money where his mouth is, so to speak, including stumping for Obama in Iowa the last couple days before the caucuses.

Kaine for Vice President? Could be. Kaine is a popular governor in a state that could--just maybe--go blue in November. If Obama gets the nomination, you can certainly bet that Kaine's name will be on the "short list" bandied about before the convention (although it could be a pretty long short list).
Now, wouldn't it be wild if, come 2009, Virginia had two Democratic senators and the Vice President?
