Obama Has BIG Lead In Ohio Early Voting

By now, our regular readers know we're quite focused on the "early voting" phenomenon.

In its polling, Survey USA now regularly separates out in its samples those voters who have already voted from those who are deemed "likely" to vote. So far, Obama is leading among early voters everywhere we've gotten data.

We now have some data from Ohio, a critical "battleground" state that McCain probably must win. The new for the Obama camp is good.

In the Survey USA poll covering the period Oct. 12-13, a full 12 percent--one in eight voters--said they'd already voted in Ohio's early voting period. Within that group, Obama leads by a whopping 57%-39%.

If things keep up that way in Ohio, McCain may find himself in simply too deep a hole come election day.
