Barack Obama is on a roll, and it won't stop with today. He's apparently swept Louisiana, Nebraska and Washington today and he's likely--based on lopsided polls--to sweep Virginia, Maryland and DC on Tuesday.
We spoke to a Clinton strategist today who, fully expecting Obama's strength this week, claimed the calendar would favor Hillary after Tuesday. Problem is, you have to factor in the momentum effect of Obama's serial victories in this stretch on the later contests.
Hillary is in danger. By the same token, she's been there before--after Iowa with the MSM proclaiming an Obama victory in New Hampshire based on polls--only to bounce back, so certainly don't count her out.
In any event, if Obama becomes the "frontrunner," just see what happened to McCain today. This truly is a wild and wacky election season.

Here's one for a wild and wacky election season. Tonight, and assuming a sweep next week, Obama will have some amazing momentum. If he ends up with an overall delegate, including super-delegates, lead after next week, I think it will be hard for Hillary to stop his train.
According to Real Clear Politics, Obama now has the lead over Clinton (even when you include her superdelegates!) 1137 Obama, 1134 Clinton. CNN and FoxNews have yet to update their sites with these numbers. It looks like it has been a VERY GOOD weekend for Obama, with wider margins of victory than anticipated.
Curmudgeon, we need you and Mrs. Curmudgeon to help support Obama in Virginia. We need everyone we can get!
We agree that Obama is showing tremendous strength. Polls show him way ahead in Virginia and Maryland, and of course in DC, so he should sweep the "Potomac Primary" on Tuesday. (Of course, the polls have been wrong before--remember NH--but this time we doubt it.)
And Obama looks strong in the next round two. Hillary is banking on the March primaries, but by then Obama may be unstoppable.
The Curmudgeon will be voting for Obama on Tuesday, but we'll give Mrs. Curmudgeon her due; she'll support Hillary. (WaPo had an article about couples cancelling each other out.)
We will be very happy to have your support for Obama tomorrow! We need all the support we can get.
What do we know about Obama? NOTHING.... and that is his only appeal...
Actions always speak louder than words.. and we have not seen any action.
We've seen plenty of actions from the Clintons. Because of their actions, I will not support Hillary. While I have not made up my mind for the general election, I feel the sooner Hillary is out of the race, the better. What type of actions do you want anyway? Obama was a community organizer, president of the Harvard Law Review, and an Illinois state senator for 8 years. Is there no action there? Do you need lots of political action? I believe that is part of the problem, too many politicians ruining this country, not enough real problem solvers and people who aren't worried only about their political careers.
