Virginia Elections: Dems Pick-up Four--Final Senate Results

Here's how the key state Senate races ended up--these are unofficial results from the VBE as of this morning:

1st District (Hampton Roads) (42/42 precincts):
(D) Miller 51.01% WINNER!
(R) Stall 48.63%

6th District (Hampton Roads) (58/58 precincts):
(D) Northam 54.4% WINNER!
(R) Rerras 45.6%

22d District (Roanoke) (71/71 precincts):
(D) Breiner 49.02%
(R) Smith 50.81% WINNER

27th District (Loudoun/Fauquier) (67/67 precincts):
(D) Schultz 46.9%
(R) Holtzman-Vogel 48.45% WINNER

28th District (Stafford/Fauquier) (66/66 precincts):
(D) Pollard 49.22%
(R) Stuart 50.63% WINNER

34th District (Fairfax)(47/47 precincts):
(D) Peterson 55.1% WINNER!
(R) Davis 44.7%

37th District (Fairfax) (39/39 precincts):
(D) Oleszak 49.77%
(R) Cuccinelli 50.02% WINNER

39th District (Fairfax/Prince William) (41/41 precincts):
(D) Barker 51.03% WINNER!
(R) O'Brien 48.86%

BOTTOM LINE: DEMS HAVE TAKEN FOUR SEATS TO PUT THEM OVER THE TOP FOR CONTROL OF THE VIRGINIA SENATE.
