It was a great summer--nice and long. And hot. And dry. It was officially over three weeks ago, but in this age of global warming, it just kept on going.We're pretty sure today was our last day, however. By tomorrow we'll be looking at more seasonable temperatures. Not cold--just fall-like. Time to get out the light jackets and sweatshirts.
It will be nice to have a bit of chill in the air--will suit the pumpkins on the porches and the ever earlier nightfall.
Goodbye summer! (Oh, and we could use some rain.)
